Installation Tips

Slide First: You must slide the shroud onto the cable before you strip the cable and wire it into the gland. It is nearly impossible to fit a standard shroud over a gland once the cable is already connected.

Trimming: The narrow end of the “hood” is usually tapered. You can use a utility knife to trim the tip so it fits snugly around your specific cable diameter.10

Orientation: The “bell” or wider end should face the wall or enclosure, completely covering the body of the cable gland.
